Frederic : Even though it was released over a decade ago, I have to confess that it was the first time I watched this film to write this. It’s a really nice Christmas film ! The innocence in the amazing performance of the lead Ferrell just makes this film very enjoyable ; it’s funny, it’s surprising, it’s cute, everything works and you’re never really let down because of stupid clichés, the line between reality and fairytale is greatly drawn, and the film’s specific humour plays tops it all by actually erasing this line. The singing scene can’t therefore leave untouched by this great Christmas-themed comedy.
Luke : I have one word to describe this film… FANTASTIC. It’s like ‘The Will Ferrell Xmas Special’, except it’s a million times better, the jokes are funny, the story itself is fantastic and the casting is brilliant (James Cann and Bob Newhart play their parts fantastic). It is one of the best Xmas comedies you can ask for.
Joshua: I am a Fan of Will Ferrell. I love “Anchorman”. But I don’t know. This movie is maybe a bit too silly for me. Will Ferrell as an adult elf is already an hilarious thing to see, without an doubt. There is just something I miss in this movie. I can’t say what. But I must say that “Elf” is a Christmas Movie you can watch with your family and everybody will have their fun.
