11 Christmas Films : The Santa Clause (4)

The Santa Clause is a 1994 American fantasy family comedy film directed by John Pasquin. It stars Tim Allen as Scott Calvin, an ordinary man who accidentally causesSanta Claus to fall from his roof on Christmas Eve. When he and his young son, Charlie, finish St. Nick’s trip and deliveries, they go to the North Pole where Scott learns that he must become the new Santa and convince those he loves that he is indeed Father Christmas.

Frederic : Okay…this, is not great. You just can’t fully enjoy such a film past a certain age, without be under specific substances. Definitely the last film I would advise anyone to watch for Christmas. I mean okay, there’s the interesting matter of Christmas/Santa Claus being things “we have to believe in” but this goes way to far for me.

Joshua: Well, Tim Allen is not my favorite actor and I never really liked “Home Improvement”, but his Santa Clause movie is ok. It’s not everybody’s humor or taste. What a shame they made two sequels.

Luke : It’s jolly and light-hearted and fun to watch. The film itself was brought out to test if Tim Allen could carry a film (the following year he would voice Buzz Lightyear in the critical and financial success Toy Story), I love how they portray the North Pole with Children portraying the elves/
